Mark Chikivchuk

Junior Designer

Mark, a native of Kamyanets’-Podil’skyi (Ukraine), discovered his passion for architecture and love of nature amidst the enchanting landscapes, ancient stone buildings, canyons, and boulders of his hometown. He graduated from Architectural College in 2012, and then went on to earn his Master's degree from Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture. He started his career in Kyiv, Ukraine, before circumstances shifted due to the war. Mark then ventured to San Francisco before relocating to the North Bay with his family. It was here that he found a meaningful role at Lars Langberg Architects, contributing his skills to the team.

Mark's approach to architecture reflects his deep appreciation for nature, people, and beauty. His goal is to design homes where inhabitants experience the joy of living. As he puts it, "Good architecture is when you are inside a house and feel happiness, feeling truly alive." Outside of work, he enjoys photography, hiking, traveling, and valuing time spent together with his family.
