Lars’ Reflections: Setting Our Sights

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

We have exciting things happening in 2022 already -- new commitments,  new office space, new projects, and an updated website. While 2021 was certainly challenging, our firm continued to evolve our creative processes, and respond to the demands of the world around us. We convened our first offsite retreat to take stock, and delve into what is most important to us personally, as well as how we can impact the larger world. “Where are we putting our attention moving into the new year?"

The Big Picture.
As a firm, sustainable building principles have been a core value since our inception. This year, we are exploring new ways to further this effort, by developing the materials and technology to quantitatively assess the "green" value of our designs, and determine how to bring that into the collaborations with our clients and contractors.

Connection.
It's not just about creating the work, it's about sharing it with our community and developing connections. We have just refreshed and relaunched our website, and added two new projects to share -- one a residential new build, and the other a rebuild and reimagining for a renowned retreat center. There’s also a new Conceptual Section, for other projects and endeavors that inspire us. Enjoy exploring it all.

Team.
It's the people that make it all happen. Our Denver Office has moved to a fabulous new location in the LoHi district at Galvanize, a shared co-working space on Platte Street, just one block from the Platte River. The views from the rooftop deck are keeping us inspired.

We are feeling hopeful as we move into 2022, bringing forward the lessons we’ve learned, while embracing what’s ahead. Drop me a line if you would like to connect!

Warmest wishes for a great year ahead,
Lars
